Pakistan\’s Hockey Stars Compete in National U21 Championship

The Prime Minister National Under-21 Women\’s Hockey Championship has started in Pakistan. Organized by the Pakistan Hockey Federation, 16 teams from the country are racing for the title. The event marks a big step forward for hockey in the nation.

During the opening, PHF President Mohyuddin Ahmad Wani took the stage. He spoke about the importance of hockey development and highlighted how the championship will help find top talent. Wani emphasized the goal: to prepare players for upcoming Asian tournaments.

The president also shared plans for building a strong senior women\’s hockey team. He said qualified coaches will join the effort to boost skills and confidence.

Several strong performances began the tournament. In Sindh, Punjab B and Kashmir dominated early matches. Sindh beat Khyber Pakhtunkhwa A 4-0, with Anosha Shah scoring three goals. Kashmir also secured a 9-0 win over Khyber Pakhtunkhwa B, setting a strong tone for the season.

As the competition continues, fans can watch Pakistan prepare for major international events like the Under-18 Women\’s Asia Cup and the Under-18 Five-a-Side Asia Cup in Oman.
