Monday saw Pakistan and Saudi Arabia sign a MoU to build a cricket stadium in Jeddah.
Consequently, the MoU aims to create world‑class cricket infrastructure.
Furthermore, it seeks to strengthen sports cooperation between the two nations.
In addition, the project aligns with Saudi Vision 2030 by expanding the sports sector.
Prince Saud bin Mishaal bin Muhammad Al Saud, Chairman of the Saudi Cricket Federation, signed the agreement.
Mohsin Naqvi, Pakistan’s PCB Chairman and Interior Minister, co‑signed the MoU.
Under the deal, both sides will jointly plan the stadium and develop its facilities.
In addition, they will exchange technical expertise and raise operational standards.
Pakistan will contribute its expertise in stadium design, construction, and cricket management.
Prince Saud said the partnership extends beyond building a stadium.
He described it as a foundation for long‑term cricket growth in Saudi Arabia.
He added that the venue will help the Kingdom host international matches and events.
The stadium will host fixtures, tournaments, and training camps.
Therefore, the initiative could boost Saudi Arabia’s position as an emerging cricket hub.
